CCAP Celebrates 25 Years

Due to COVID 19, all parties entering the courtroom for hearings must wear masks.  Parties permitted to enter the courtroom are limited in all case types.  In delinquent and unruly cases, only parent and child are permitted in the courtroom.  All others including siblings, friends, and family members are not permitted to attend hearings.

The Probate Court was established in each county to supervise the administration of the estate of a decedent who was a resident of the county. Each transaction involved in the administration of an estate is subject to the examination and approval of the Probate Court. The Probate Court also handles adoptions, guardianships, involuntary commitment proceedings, and issues marriage licenses.

Juvenile Court has jurisdiction over unruly, delinquent cases, custody, parentage, child support, dependency, neglect and abuse, truancy, failure to send, contributing, and juvenile traffic cases.  The Juvenile Court has various programs to support the youth and families of Belmont County.

Working to ensure an efficient and appropriate court process, we invite you to browse our web site and discover the many dimensions of the Juvenile and Probate Court.
